To Worry or Not To Worry

Here’s a great thought to start the day. It should help all of us keep worrying in perspective.

To Worry or Not To Worry

Questions: Are you draw to worry? Have you found specific strategies that help you successful overcome tendencies to worry? Please share your thoughts and comments as all of us battle the inclination to worry way too much.

I think everyone worries about something. Whether that be money, watching your kids play sports, interviewing, ect. With that said…I believe it is chronic worrying that can be very hazardous and life draining.

Anytime I feel that I am starting to have negative thoughts or extreme worrying, I try to immediately break that train of thought. Sometimes I go on a run…other times I pick up a classic book (Ziglar, Tracy, ect), and sometimes I unplug and spend time with my family! I think doing something positive (any positive) will help to stop the worrying tendancy.

Try to take a small step toward a solution to the worry [after prayer]. I’ve found that action takes away worry. For example, I enrolled in a community college short course to improve skills that are lacking.

Action (being proactive) is a great way to take control of what you can control. Nice, Polly!
