Thoughts On Success – Multitasking

Thoughts on Success — Should You Separate the “Multi” from “Tasking?”

Thoughts on Success - Light BulbWhen it comes to thoughts on success, some people believe a critical success factor is the ability to multitask. I would argue, however, that multitasking is NOT a key to success and actually leads away from the road to success.

The reason?

A divided mind always leads
to diminished performance

This statement, for me, is like a light bulb as to why multitasking is NOT a key to success. In fact, nothing else really needs be added.

So…I won’t.

Great post, Kent. Multitasking jacked me up on my job a few years ago . I was doing too much which led to burn out. Trying to multitask took me away from my main two focus areas. I had a resume that said I could several things, but I had a body and mind that was exhausted and frustrated. I tell people to don’t believe the hype about multitasking.
