Pictures of Success – A Holistic Experience

Pictures of Success - Speak It Forward Boot Camp

This past Thursday through Saturday was the Speak It Forward Boot Camp. It’s an event I host two times a year. And when I call it a Boot Camp, believe me…it’s a Boot Camp! We meet from 8 AM to about 9 PM most days in order to over deliver on both service and content.

I thoroughly enjoy leading this training experience! What’s more, I think the event gets stronger each time we put it on because I continue to grow as a professional speaker, both in the way I present and in how I market my speaking services. What this means is each time I host the Boot Camp, I have more experience and value to share with participants. Serving and adding value to people who want to learn (1) how to present their message with passion and authenticity and (2) how to market their speaking services in a way that they get booked are the primary pictures of success for the Boot Camp.

Yet interestingly, there are additional pictures of success I like to see during the Boot Camp. An email I received from an alumni articulated these additional pictures of success well. Take a look…

Good Morning Kent,

What an AMAZING few days!!!!

As Rob mentioned to you already, I think this was the most impacting event you have hosted so far. I truly have no excuse for not moving forward. Thank you for serving with everything you’ve got…your energy, knowledge, attitude, and most of all, your HEART!

Additionally, the type of people you draw to these events is what makes it such a successful and unique event. It’s more than a seminar or conference, and it goes far beyond learning how to be successful in the speaking business. This might sound strange, but it is more of a holistic experience that also helps us become successful in all of life…I deeply appreciate the opportunity to be there again.

Thank you again on so many levels!!! I am truly honored to be associated with you, Dan, and the wonderful people you guys attract. Absolutely Fantastic!

Blessings,

Randell Mark

Yup, there seemed to be quite a few different pictures of success painted during this past Speak It Forward Boot Camp. And together, each picture makes for a holistic experience. I have to admit, I’m not even on Cloud 9 this morning…I’m a bit higher than that!

Well said, Randell! I absolutely agree. When I got home, and hubby asked me if the two days was good, I said YES!! Of course, we got some incredible, practical knowledge to help launch and/or move forward with a speaking career, but it was SO MUCH MORE than that, and Randell articulated it very well in his description of a holistic experience. I’m so glad I went, and will definitely go again in the future. Thank you, Kent, for a fantastic experience.

Thanks so much, Diane. It was an amazing experience all the way around. Each Boot Camp has been outstanding and each seems to get better and better. I am simply rejoicing that God is blessings this event.

Now, go out there and “speak it forward” :)

Diane, it was so great to connect with you! You definitely brought the Spirit with you, and I know you’re off to great things. Keep that dream alive!

      • http://www.thewritingrange.com/ Diane Krause

Rob, I so enjoyed getting to visit with you, and I appreciate you sharing your time and your wisdom. Just the conversations with you and a couple of others have already helped me gather some thoughts about my next steps. So, although I told you I wasn’t trying to corner you for free coaching, perhaps I did “steal” some from you after all! I’m excited about watching your plans come together as well, and I trust you’ll keep us posted! Blessings to you and your family.

        • http://www.liveitforward.com/ Kent Julian

No “stealing” took place, Diane. I know Rob and Randell were there to serve :)

        • http://www.180coach.com/ Rob Clinton

Diane, I loved our conversations! There was no “stealing” as far as I’m concerned :-) I hope I’ve given you much, just has you’ve given me an awesome new friend… Blessings to and your family as well!

Very cool! As you know from what I shared with you already Kent, it was the same for me. Very Holistic experience, the people were absolutely amazing, and everything, including the content, and presentation went very deep. I guess our stories are very much about something greater than all of us. As the old saying goes, “we are trees in a story about a forest”, and that’s what I felt last week. I was impacted on many levels, and I’m honored to have been able to experience it. Keep being the catalyst for these great things!

Rob…I so appreciate you and your friendship!

Outstanding boot camp! I’m honored that I got to be there. I’ll third, fourth, and fifth what everyone else said. I appreciate finally getting to meet everyone there. What struck me was the commonality in ENERGY of all the attendees. We are all on more or less divergent paths professionally, but I’ve never been around a single group of forward looking and thinking people in one place in my life. The experience is one I’ll never forget. Thanks again Kent!

“Forward looking and thinking people”…what a great way to express the feel for the weekend. ABSOLUTELY true!!

Looking forward to working with you this year in the Coaching and Mastermind Program, my friend.

Thanks Randell. Your email made my day!

I just returned from the Speak It Forward Boot Camp as well. I put on seminars and training events year round, so I feel as though I have a good grid from which to look at the SIF training. Kent, you know how to throw a party. I love the intimacy you create, and the authentic, relational approach you take with your attendees. From the moment the event began, we all felt at home, and knew instinctively that you cared for us and for our success. The content was invaluable, and the sincerity and passion with which you present it far exceeded all our expectations. I believe I can ‘speak’ for all of our class by saying, we are better prepared, better equipped, and greatly inspired to pursue what God has given each of us to accomplish. THANK YOU!

Thanks so much, Brian. What kind words!

Also, thanks for the book. I have it on my list to read during my “Lead My Life From Quiet” time: http://www.liveitforward.com/6-bs-lead-your-life-from-quiet/

    • http://www.liveitforward.com/ Kent Julian

Amazing people, Michael. We were missing two “Good” people, though :)

That will be a “Good” day (sorry, I can’t help myself :)

“Pictures” of success… I like it!  Well put–and so true.  The weekend was exhausting–but in a good way.  I feel like I saved myself years of mistakes by learning from all the information Kent shared.   Thanks so much for the good stuff–and it was so great to meet everyone!

    • http://www.liveitforward.com/ Kent Julian

Saved yourself from years of potential mistake…very cool, Dave!

My mind is still going 10,000 miles a minute!

Kent, what an incredibly energetic, positive, information packed, synergetic conference! While the conference was intense, it seemed everyone had smiles and enthusiasm throughout! It was humbling being around people that had such incredible and moving stories to share. I am with Rick, it is an experience I will never forget. I am positive SIF will be the “launch pad” for many attendees success. It gives me the chills to think of the impact this event will have on people as they shape their careers on living out their passion.

Thanks for making it AWESOME Kent and thanks to the AWESOME attendees – what a GIFT it was to meet you guys!
    Jen

At some point I want to go through your boot camp. Keep moving forward Kent.

      Looking forward to it, Dan!

I could not agree more!  I feel as if I was given the tools to finally do what I have wanted to do for a very long time.  Take the next step.  I don’t have the excuses I used to have as to why I have not followed through with my dreams.  At the SIF bootcamp I walked away with tools and principles that gave me what I need to go where I want to go and do what I want to do:  Help Others Be All They Can Be.

What a great experience, knowing I was in the same room with others that shared in my passion to become a better speaker, business owner and more successful person in every area of life.  I have already recommended this to two close friends as the “One conferenece they must attendnext year”.

    • http://www.liveitforward.com/ Kent Julian

Thanks so much, Jeff. Love what you said about “no more excuses” and having the “tools and principles needed” to share your message with the world. Go for it!

Also, thanks for recommending the Boot Camp to others. We really try to over deliver, and it sounds like we did for you!

It was a great time and I am still so excited! Just created my Top 10 Reasons Kent Julian’s Speak It Forward boot camp was the best I have ever attended:

    10. The time of year: Great time of year with beautiful weather.

    9. The setting: It was at a beautiful church just off the main road and very private.

    8. The people: Everyone was willing to share and serve and get to know one another.

    7. The speakers: Kent, Dan and Matt spoke from their heart and we could tell they cared.

    6. The humor: So much fun and engagement throughout. Never a dull moment!

    5. The message: It was clear why we were there and the message was on target to help us move forward.

    4. The material: The handout was easy to follow and lots of space for notes.

    3. The presentation: PowerPoint was great…especially the fire!

    2. The challenge: Everyone left motivated with excitement about the future and were given the resources to get started!

    1. The number one reason Kent Julian’s Speak It Forward boot camp was the best I have ever attended is: It was the only boot camp I had ever been to that did not require
jumping through tires and climbing ropes.

What a great Top 10 List, Frances!
