7,361 Emails Couldn’t Be Wrong! | Success Stories

7,361 Emails Couldn’t Be Wrong! (Another in a series of Success Stories)

As you know, Live It Forward exists to help people make the move to the life and work they love. We share a lot of success stories here, as well as talk a lot about career objectives and career goals…setting goals and achieving goals…what is success and keys to success in both life and work.

What you might not know is that while I blog here, I’m very involved in other places online. If you’ve been following this blog somewhat, you’ve probably heard me mention my two other websites: www.speakitforward.com and www.kentjulian.com. However, I don’t talk too often about my involvement in www.48days.net, yet I spend as much time there as anywhere else online.

48 Days - Your Headquarters for Creating the Work You Love

Why do I spend so much time on 48days.net? Because it’s a community filled with amazing people who are well-informed and committed to creating the life and work they love. People who share both their success stories and what they’ve learned from their failures. In fact, it’s a community where people take an honest look at their career objectives and career goals, they constantly talk about how to be set goals and achieve them, and they are working hard to define what is success for them and what the keys to success are in both their life and work.

And to top it off…all of this is absolutely FREE!

In fact, one member of 48days.net who has become a friend of mine over the past year is Cam Ross. Check out what he recently wrote about the impact 48days.net has had on his life:

Life and Career Coaching – Preposterous Attention

Life and Career Coaching Insight | How Helping Others Achieve Their Career Objectives Has Helped Me

Life and Career Coaching | Live It Forward

In my Life and Career Coaching Program, I’ve already coached over 400 clients to find the life and work they love, which means I’ve had the privilege of seeing hundreds of people make the move from “I hate my job” to “I love my job.” As an added bonus, as I’ve helped others reach their career objectives and achieve life and career success, I’ve personally grown myself. I could share a long list of the ways I’ve grown, but one way that definitely stands out is I’ve learned to pay preposterous attention to clients.

I’m not using the word “preposterous” in a negative or condensing manner. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Instead, I’m using “preposterous” to communicate that successful life and career coaching requires more than sharing career guidance or job search strategies; it requires exorbitant, extravagant, outrageous, ridiculous attention. This is because clients need more than my career advice or tips, they need my ears, my eyes, my mind, and my heart. When I give clients preposterous attention, I serve them wholeheartedly and with the excellence they deserve.

Rob Holden, a recent client, wrote something in his review of my life and career coaching services that I hope is true for every client I serve:

The personal and intimate nature of Kent’s coaching is amazing! His coaching process was not distant or detached, and he didn’t provide information that was strictly objective and disinterested. He makes you feel as if you are his only client, as if all the work he does is solely for you. This kind of personal attention is something that can’t be overlooked!

So…why share all this stuff with you?

Google Apps Vs Gmail

I work with a lot of people through my life and career coaching programs who decide to launch their own businesses. And although I am far from being an IT guru, I have learned a few things over the years. One question I get asked often by people starting their own business is what’s the difference between Google Apps and Gmail. Since I answer this question a few times every month, I decided to go ahead and share what little I know about the two service here once and for all. Whether you are planning to start your own business or not, I hope this is helpful.

Career Coaching Makes Me Smile

I love career coaching for so many reasons, but one of my favorite things about career coaching is when I see a client develop a plan and work that plan…then go on to experience success. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

I just received the email below from a client who has mapped out a solid self-employment plan for herself. Her email was quick and to-the-point, but WOW…is it powerful!

Kent!!!

I just had a friend ask me how much I would charge for career counseling and then followed that by, “I am serious.”

WHOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy I can’t even stop smiling right now!!

A.M.

Guess what? I’m smiling too. Big time!!

If you’re interested in making the move to the life and work you love, I’d be thrilled to help you. Check out the life and career coaching programs I offer, as well as our Home Study Course.

What A Speech!

The prepared text of the Commencement address delivered by Steve Jobs
on June 12, 2005 at Stanford University.

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That’s it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about connecting the dots.
